Heads Up is built to respect your privacy completely. It does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information — full stop.
Heads Up requests read-only access to your calendar so it can show your next meeting and remind you before it starts. It reads event details — start and end times, titles, and any meeting link — entirely on your device, to display them to you. That is the only information it uses.
When you click Join on a meeting, Heads Up opens that meeting's link in your default browser or app (for example, Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, or Webex). That connection is made by your browser to the meeting provider — not by Heads Up to us. Heads Up itself sends nothing.
All calendar information Heads Up reads remains on your device and is never uploaded. Your preferences (such as which reminders are enabled) are stored locally on your Mac. There is no cloud service behind Heads Up.
Heads Up is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
