Heads Up lives in your Mac's menu bar, counts down to your next meeting, and takes over your screen the moment it starts.
Short
Heads Up is a menu bar app for macOS that makes meetings impossible to miss. A quiet ring counts down to your next event; a gentle card appears beforehand; and when the meeting starts, a full-screen reminder takes over until you join, snooze, or dismiss. It reads your calendar entirely on-device, finds the Zoom, Meet, Teams, or Webex link, and puts Join one click away. $19.99, one time — no subscription, no account, nothing leaves your Mac.
Longer
Heads Up solves a small but universal problem: getting so deep in your work that you look up and your meeting started five minutes ago. It puts a countdown ring in your Mac's menu bar that fills as your next meeting approaches, opens to a native dropdown with your day and a one-click Join button, and — the part that matters — takes over your entire screen the instant a meeting begins, so a quick alert you might tab away from becomes something you can't miss. You choose which reminders fire, from fifteen minutes out to the moment it starts. It works with any calendar in the macOS Calendar app (iCloud, Google, Outlook, Exchange), filters out all-day events, declined invites, and "free" blocks, and detects meeting links from Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, and Webex. Heads Up requests read-only calendar access and makes no network requests of its own — there is no account, no tracking, and nothing leaves the Mac. It is a one-time $19.99 purchase from the Mac App Store, built by independent developer Benvenuti Software.
